In 2018 we were excited to announce several new products, as well as building on previous work. My activities as Senior Vice President, Technology and Strategy this year included six major announcements;

• ETSI Leadership Role with Jeremy Fuller achieving Chair for ETSI NFV IFA (InterFace and Architecture)
• General Availability of our VNF Manager product for NFV deployments
• Announcement of our new Security Platform product.

Security, Analytics and Big Data - all Cloud Native

I was responsible for the Security Platform offering, having recently taken it over due to the merger. This was a set of technologies produced from combining programs pre-existent in the Sonus and GENBAND advanced incubation teams. Read this release to learn more;

Ribbon Expands Portfolio with New Security Platform Offering

This product was over two years of work, and represents a new paradigm in applications for big data, analytics, and security in the telecommunications market space. The following video was developed in Ribbon's marketing department to announce the product;

This is an exiting area of technology, with new open-source components growing rapidly to provide a platform for developing these type of solutions. I became familiar with Hadoop, Apache Spark, Datameer, Zoom Data, Splunk, as well as continuing to build my expertise in cloud native architecture using containers and Kubernetes with this incubated development program.
